As you begin your Colorado vacation plans it is important to know that typically, the ice is off Lake Granby in early May. This is an excellent fishing time for big Mackinaw Lake Trout. Generally there are three fishing contests on Lake Granby: one in February, March (ice fishing) May. This year the May contest was May 18-20. Fishing by pontoon boat continues to draw people all summer. Nesting eagles and osprey can also be seen on the Arapaho National Recreation area, at North Shore Resort's back door.
Our neighbors at Beacon Landing Marina one-half block away, will be open and happy to rent you a pontoon boat. Call to make reservations: (970) 627-3671. (Tell them you got the number from the North Shore website.)
There is a huge demand to go boating on Lake Granby from Grand Lake visitors. Boats are reserved on a first come, first serve basis, so get your reservation in early.
WINTER BOAT STORAGE is available at North Shore Resort from October to May. Call 877-627-3220 for current prices.
SUMMER SNOWMOBILE STORAGE is available at North Shore Resort from May to September. Call 877-627-3220 for current prices.
Lake Granby is a fluctuating reservoir which depends on snowfall and eastern Colorado water usage. We have no control over the level of the lake, but you may call us to get a report.
